Frædag: Melkeveien Live

Melkeveien returns to Jaeger’s basement for a live show ahead of Hubbas Klubb. The Norwegian space funketeers arrive off the back of a string of EPs.

Melkeveien Live are: Embret Johnsen on keys, Audun Røberg jr. on bassgitar, John Birkeland Hansen on drums , Kristian Møller on synths, sampler and drum machines and Marius Lien on guitar. Marius Lien is a Spellemann award winner, songwriter and guitarist with a style based on the fusions of various styles.

Melkeveien took to the scene with “Peter Pan Death Wish” in 2014 and never looked back, acquiring accolades wherever they went. The track was used on “You Were Never Really Here” with Joaquin Phoenix and since then Melkeveien has been staple on festival stages, garnering a reputation as a solid live act.

Since their debut they’ve released the “Hockey Pizza EP" and “Thirst Issues” (Full Pupp), with a single from the last being picked by Mixmag for their “Best New House” tracks from last year. “Moonie” was their last release and they’ll be primed for more in 2025.
