Shahrdad Rohani in Motherland Concert
For the first time in Sweden, Shahrdad Rohani will take the stage alongside the Stockholm Concert Orchestra and two esteemed Iranian soloists, performing beloved classical masterpieces, his own compositions, and Persian folk songs at the beautiful Musikaliska Kvarteret venue.
Shahrdad Rohani is a world-renowned conductor, composer, and arranger, celebrated for his exceptional artistry and contributions to classical and contemporary music. Best known for his work on Yanni Live at the Acropolis—the second highest-grossing music video of all time—he has mesmerized audiences worldwide.
Educated at Vienna’s Music Academy, Rohani has been honored with prestigious awards, including the A.K.M. and ASCAP Scholarships. His compositions include the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 13th Asian Olympic Games (1998) and the Anthem for Iran’s National Football Team at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, watched by millions.
Between 2016 and 2020, he served as Principal Conductor and Artistic Director of the Tehran Symphony Orchestra, elevating the ensemble to new artistic heights. In 2024, he founded the Roudaki Orchestra in Los Angeles, bringing classical and contemporary music to audiences across the United States.
Rohani has conducted some of the world's most prestigious orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and Prague Symphony Orchestra. His recordings, including Tchaikovsky’s Hall, have earned critical acclaim, particularly in Japan.
