Fleeing post-war Europe, visionary architect László Toth arrives in America to rebuild his life, and his marriage to wife Erzsébet after they are forced apart by the shifting borders and regimes of wartime.

Alone in a new, strange land, László settles in Pennsylvania, where the rich and prominent industrial magnate Harrison Lee Van Buren recognizes his talent for construction.

All performances of Brutalist have a 15-minute intermission in the middle of the film. The break is included in the playing time.

Wheelchair space can be placed either at the top or near the stage in the row between the first two rows at the front. There are a total of 6 mobile seats intended for companions. So, if necessary, it is possible to bring in more wheelchairs, but the accompanying places are, however, limited.
