Dynamiska Köpenhamnsrocktrion Baby in Vain har ständigt utvecklat sitt sound sedan 2010 och släppte tidigare i år sitt tredje album "Afterlife". Collider gör galen musik som även är galet bra, med en komplex spontanitet blandar man shoegaze, indie och progressiv rock som live hittar sitt explosiva rätta hem. Ses den 15 november!

Baby in Vain

Baby in Vain is a trio from Copenhagen, Benedicte Pierleoni-Nielsen on drums, Andrea Thuesen Johansen on guitar and vocals and Lola Hammerich on guitar and vocals.

There is a constant circle present in Baby in Vain’s music, whether it's the way their songs ponder from close to distant, or zoomed completely out, how their musical journey started with black sabbath-ish sounds and over the years morphing into eclectic soundtrack like folk rock songs. It’s all still connected.

From the bands start in 2010 to now, they have been constantly exploring their sonics, with every new record introducing a new perspective to their sound. Their core has always been many levels of intuitive sense and interplay, that is only reachable for friends in eternity. Vocal harmonies, drums, guitars and sometimes big string arrangements make the elements for “Afterlife”. While these tools easily could succumb to nostalgic traps Baby in Vain don't do that, they stay in their own world of togetherness and foreverness.

Collider

In 2015, Mikkel, Johan, Troels and Marie created Collider. The band based Copenhagen, where they are signed to the label Escho.

The synergy of the four members came to life as they decided to live together in a tiny, kind of smashed, yellow studio space in Copenhagen. Within the confronting atmosphere and urgent lack of comfort they experienced in the beginning of their musical journey, the band discovered a boundary-pushing drive that eventually led them to their first album release. Meanwhile, the band also became a staple in the Copenhagen underground scene, welcomed for their clashing mixtures of complex spontaneity, naivistic vocals, yet agressive precision and many shifting arrangements.

Over time, Collider has evolved a unique and collage-like approach to composition that plays around and beyond the conventions of shoegaze, indie-pop and progressive rock.

Their latest release, excessively worthwhile from 2022, is still grounded in the explosive energy that Collider is known for, but presents a more figurative and coherent approach to songwriting.
