Earlier this fall, Rebecca & Fiona released their fourth album, MEGA DANCE. This was celebrated with a grand club night at Kägelbanan in Stockholm, where the duo launched the concept MEGA DANCE FESTIVAL. After the successful premiere, they are now bringing the festival to Monument in Gothenburg on November 8th. This time, they are collaborating with the organizer skogsrejv and featuring a new lineup of DJs to be announced soon...

Producer, pop, and DJ duo Rebecca & Fiona have been an integral part of the Swedish and international music scene since 2007. Since their breakthrough, they have released three albums, won double awards at the Grammis Gala, and musically blended influences from pop, electro, and the dance world—always on their own terms without compromising the end result. Their desire for both artistic and creative freedom led them to establish their own record label, Big Romantic Music, in 2018, where they oversee their own music while also producing for established and upcoming talents. Their love for dance music has also resulted in them hosting their own program on P3 for four years, playing the music they love.
In the album ‘MEGA DANCE’, Rebecca & Fiona have returned to their roots: the club scene and dance music. The album is a love letter to a fully energized dance floor, reminiscent of Ibiza's iconic club scene in the early 2000s.
"At the club, we want to play fast, hard, and fun music, but as soon as we step into the studio to create something in that vibe, we get melodically struck by a serious emo disease. So for this album, we've been inspired by bubblegum trance and eurodance—which was our first introduction to dance music—and challenged ourselves to stay above at least 130 bpm, whether we're producing deeply tucked in bed or manage to get to the studio." —Rebecca & Fiona
For half a decade, skogsrejv has shown immense passion for creating memorable nights out for Swedes. With a strong focus on storytelling and a holistic approach to décor and bookings, every skogsrejv production leaves you with a wow feeling. There's also an incredible sense of community at their parties—a non-pretentious vibe where everyone feels like they know each other. The founders of skogsrejv are also behind the festival "Once Upon A Time..." and their new club concept project "Överjord".
"Sometimes you go to parties, and it doesn't feel like the organizer appreciates you. There's a small sound system here and a bar there... Then what? There should be no limits to a good atmosphere. It's like a delicious sandwich: if everything matches, keep adding ingredients. Techno, tech house, UKG, DnB... As long as it's good and sounds fun, we're all for it!"
Despite selling out events time and again, they have so far only operated in Stockholm. Plans to come to Gothenburg and other cities have been in the works for a long time but haven't materialized until now:
"Yes! Gothenburg has been at the top of our list for a long time. Our second-largest group of visitors comes up from Gothenburg, and people have been urging us for a long time to come down. It would be fun to get up close with the Gothenburg crowd, so what better way than to kick off with this awesome collab on November 8th!
