Hannes Aitman made his debut in 2023 with the self-written song "Dying For A Name," which has garnered attention from various outlets. Music journalist Jan Gradvall praised him both on TV during Nyhetsmorgon and in the newspaper Dagens Industri. When Hannes released his EP with the same title, it received 4 out of 5 from Gradvall in DI, with the description: "19-year-old Hannes Aitman from Västerås graduated this spring. But if you played his music and said he had toured with Johnny Cash in the 1950s – or perhaps Chris Isaak in the 1990s – everyone would believe it. His deep voice, confident guitar playing, and driven songwriting have something universally appealing about them." In 2025, Hannes was nominated for a Grammis as "Newcomer of the Year."
