During the spring, Västerbottensteatern will perform the play "Vid arken kl 8" (At the Ark at 8), which tells the story of three penguins who travel with the ark when the great flood comes. It addresses existential questions related to the climate crisis, humanity and hope for the future in a humorous and playful way.

Stories about the Flood and the Ark are found in most cultures. It shows the human need for stories to deal with and process disasters and crises. In this conversation, we get to listen to Lillemor Skogheden, director, and Mats Söderlund, author, who reflect on how we can talk to children and young people about the fateful issues of the future.

The conversation is aimed at an adult audience.

Mats Söderlund is an author, poet and social commentator. He has published about twenty books, including the Descendants trilogy, and received numerous prizes and scholarships for his works. He often lectures on fiction, climate and gender issues and also runs the Climate Academy, a platform for using artistic methods in sustainable transition processes.

Lillemor Skogheden is a director, storyteller and educator at Västerbottensteatern and has directed the performance Vid arken kl. 8
