Den perfekta skogen

The Perfect Forest is the gripping story of the people who live close to the forest and the ideas of how these people should be. What should we use the forest for? Is it a place for recreation? Is it an industry? Is it a carbon sink? Is it possible to combine all these things?

The performance is based on interviews conducted with people from the inland of Norrbotten, which have been shaped into a dramatic form.

The play is directed by Hanna Nygårds, and on stage are Sofi Helleday, Henrik Gustafsson, and Harleen Kalkat.

Musikteatern has created and toured plays that highlight stories and issues that affect and engage people in Norrbotten and the rest of Sweden. The Perfect Forest captures the complexity surrounding our relationship with the forest and its use. The purpose is to create conversations and debate around this important issue that affects us all—through theatre.
