In a square somewhere sits Sture Charles "Limpan" Lindberg. Like so many others in our society, he has ended up in exclusion. Why? The Loaf is about a homeless, unemployed and drunk man who has lost his footing and fallen between the planks of society. He sits on a park bench and tries to explain, to anyone who happens to hear, why he ended up there and why he doesn't deserve to be there. But in the darkness there is also a zest for life, humor and love.

A monologue performance with joy, humor, song and abysmal sadness. A small compressed life, quite simply. A tribute to Allan Edwall 1924-1997.
