Diana Burkot ‘Sweat and Blood’ Diana Burkot – musician, producer, and key member of the feminist collective Pussy Riot – stands at the forefront of sound, activism, and performance art. Known for shaping Pussy Riot’s experimental sonic identity, she fuses industrial textures, glitchy electronics, and ethereal vocals into compositions that provoke, confront, and heal. Beyond the collective, her solo work amplifies her avant-garde sensibilities, establishing her as a trailblazer in experimental music.

Her latest project, Sweat and Blood, is a multidisciplinary exploration of trauma, resistance, and identity, presented as both a live show and music album. Combining sound design, poetry, and performance, the work tells stories of individuals navigating repression and isolation, with each piece named for its protagonist. On stage, these deeply personal narratives unfold as collective experiences, brought to life through Burkot’s collaborations with the "characters" of the songs, creating raw and immersive confrontations with societal injustice.

A passionate advocate for gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights, and freedom of expression, Burkot embeds activism into her artistry. Whether performing in underground clubs, art spaces, or protests, her work blurs the boundaries between art and action, sound and fury. Through projects like Sweat and Blood, Burkot redefines artistic resistance, proving that creativity can be both a refuge and a rallying cry.

New Age Doom New Age Doom, led by Eric J. Breitenbach and Greg Valou, is a Canadian musical collective known for its boundary-pushing sound and high-profile collaborations. Blending drone metal, progressive rock, jazz, and dub, the group thrives on experimentation, bringing together global musicians to craft genre-defying sonic experiences. Their collaborators include Jamaican dub legend Lee “Scratch” Perry, jazz greats Tim Lefebvre and Donny McCaslin, and members of MONO, Death Grips, and Quicksand.

Their latest album, There Is No End, features Norway’s Tuva Hellum Marschhäuser (Tuvaband) and explores a more melodic approach while maintaining their signature chaos. In 2021, the band gained acclaim for a collaborative tribute with Perry, blending dub, jazz, and metal in his final work before passing. Known for their innovative “edible merch,” New Age Doom also collaborates with premium brands like Spread ‘Em Kitchen and Righteous Gin, merging music with culinary creativity.
