LISEN RYLANDER LÖVE, OCEANS

Lisen Rylander Löve is undoubtedly one of Sweden's most brilliant stars within Swedish modern jazz. Over the years she has collaborated with acts such as Amason, Union Carbide Production and Rickie Lee Jones to name a few.

Lisen is also a highly engaged composer, and has written music for several theater and dance performances. The music she plays with the project OCEANS came about in this way and culminated in a solo record of the same name. Live, she is helped by the musicians Donovan Von Martens (bass, synth, electronics) and Martin Öhman (drums, electronics), two more strong voices in the Swedish improvisational music scene. Together they create a modern sound with roots in jazz improvisation and the synthetic sound worlds of electronic music.
