Rita, an overqualified and underappreciated lawyer, works at a large firm that is more interested in letting criminals get away than getting them convicted. The film was awarded five prizes at the European Film Awards, including Best Film, Best Director and Best Screenplay. During the Stockholm International Film Festival, the entire ensemble was awarded the prize for best actor, while Jacques Audiard received the jury prize. The film was awarded the actor and jury prize at Cannes.
