Meet the former Olympic champion Björn Ferry! When the countries of the world signed the Paris Agreement in 2015, it meant that global warming would be limited to a maximum of two degrees. In Storuman, Björn Ferry and his wife Heidi Andersson had both finished their elite sports careers and became inspired to take on the challenge; ”If all the countries of the world could agree to stop using fossil fuels by the middle of the century, surely it should be possible for individuals to get there sooner?” The goal for the family was to become fossil-free by the year 2025. Since then, the couple have changed their lifestyle, reduced carbon dioxide and also tried to get their entire hometown on the climate-smart path.

Monica Lindgren meets Björn Ferry in a conversation about what is going through his head now. Will they reach their goal? What have they learned along the way? And can Björn really be the world’s tallest Sami?

Björn will give us many answers – but his question remains; “How the hell are we going to do it?”

Participants: Björn Ferry and Monica Lindgren Organizer: Nordic Storytelling Centre, Västerbottensteatern
