Camille Bénâtre

Camille Bénâtre is a french singer-songwriter based in Gothenburg oscillating between american songwriting (Townes Van Zandt, Elliott Smith...), cathy pop songs and french 'chanson'. His last album 'Dommage' (a word with two meanings in french : 'it’s a shame' or 'damage') was released earlier this year on Hidden Bay Records. Written and recorded in France and Sweden, this LP deals with various topics: life in a new country ‘Sans terre et sans roi’, egocentrism ‘Au centre du jeu’ or ‘Stupidémocratie’... He played on stage with french singer Laure Briard or band Tango Juliett and supported many artists such as Peter Doherty, Blonde Redhead, Micah P Hinson or Au Revoir Simone.
