In the spot in the Swedish mountains farthest away from any road in any direction, leis the Place of Inaccessibility. One of the few places left that mankind has not exploited. What happens when a dancer finds her way to this site?

We are still here/Mii leat ain dás directed by Gunilla Bresky, 79 min

The film follows a group of Sámi artists from an art collective, Mázejoavku, as they rebel against cultural stereotypes and explore themes of Sámi identity. Soon they are dragged into the Alta Conflict, a turning point in Sámi political and cultural life.

Gunilla Bresky is a documentary filmmaker living in Luleå, who has depicted the lives of people in the North Calotte for many years. She has made several films about Sami culture. The director participates both before and after the film.
