Adwaith grew up in a vibrant Welsh-language indie-rock scene, drawing inspiration from groundbreaking bands like Datblygu and Fflaps while shaping their own uncompromising vision. After forming in 2015, they signed with indie label Libertino and released their debut single, "Pwysau," in 2016. Their acclaimed debut album, Melyn, captured the anxieties of young adults in a politically turbulent time and was awarded the Welsh Music Prize, while receiving support from outlets like BBC Radio and NPR. In 2022, their second album, Bato Mato, inspired by a journey on the Trans-Siberian Railway, made history as they became the first band to win the Welsh Music Prize twice. In 2023, they made their Swedish debut at Viva Sounds – and now, they’re back!

With their new album Solas, out now, Adwaith evolves their sound, blending electronic and global influences while staying true to their Welsh roots. Hailed as the most important Welsh band in decades, they’ve achieved international success with two sold-out European tours and groundbreaking performances at festivals like Glastonbury. By creating an ambitious double album and staying true to their culture, Adwaith is redefining Welsh youth culture and elevating Welsh music and identity to a global stage.

Support; Whale Sark music is about making small feelings feel big. The listener is guided through dramatic soundscapes and intimate guitar sections, with the help of detailed lyrics, emotion, and a glimmer of humor. Their debut album is out in April, and singles before that!
